Cantonment Board Jhansi is entrusted with the responsibility of supplying wholesome water to all the residents of the Cantonment except to those for whom dedicated supply from the MES exists. The board maintains following infrastructure to cater to the water requirements of public residing in different localities.
The per capita supply of water is 140 liters/day.
Water connections habe been provided to the public at varying rates for domestic and commercial puposes
The water supply is managed by the board with the help of its own officials and employees.
Approximately 50% of the water is procured by the board from UP Jal Nigam and rest is drawn from its own sources like wells, handpumps and jet pumps.

Water connections are provided for domestic and commercial purposes both. The applicant has to apply for obtaining any type of connection on the prescribed form which can be obtained from the record section of the cantt board office or can be downloaded from this website.
Duly filled in form should be submitted to the record section.
In case of any deficiency the applicant shall be informed within a week.
In the event of application being found in order, the applicant shall be required to deposit a fee of Rs. 50/-, security deposit of Rs. 100/-, road cutting charges as calculated by the office and an agreement on non judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- within seven days from the date of receipt of intimation in this regard.
The connection shall be done by the plumber of the applicant in presence of pipe fitter of cantt board.
Material required for water connection like ferrule, pipes etc. and the labour for road cutting has to be arranged by the applicant himself.
The connection shall be provided within 5 days from the date of submission of agreement, requisite fee etc.
Citizens should not install on line booster/tullu pumps.
Citizens should repair the rusted/leaking service pipe lines immediately to avoid contamination and low pressure.
Defective bib cocks etc. should be replaced immediately to avoid the wastage of water.
The wastage of water should be avoided at all costs.
Pay your water bills on time and on regular basis.
The water supply charges for different type of connections are as under -

Water bills are issued at the end of every quarter starting from the month of March. First bill of the year is issued in the first week of June for the period March to May in the manner indicated below -

It is the responsibility of the users of the water connection to pay their water bills on or before the last date. In case of failure a late fee @ Rs. 5/- per month shall be charged. The users are further advised to collect the bills from the cantt board office in case these are not delivered to them after expiry of one week from the dates of issuance of bills mentioned above.
